Happy holidays from the uStudio Team! We know December is a busy month, but we hope you are finding a little time for joy and cheer with your friends and family.
Unlike the waning days of 2022, our user interface improvements are just getting started. Over the course of the next several weeks, we will begin the roll-out of new Application UI changes for both mobile and desktop. We’ve included December changes below, but will keep working into the New Year to bring you continued improvements like automatically colored backgrounds behind content artwork and additional changes to screen layouts.
Our December updates include:
Better Artwork. Larger artwork will make content screens more engaging while perusing Shows and Episodes.
Fresh Iconography. The icons throughout the mobile and desktop screens have undergone a makeover. We’re also adding a circle around new icons to enhance button usage and entice interaction.
Optimized Layout. Our first layout change for show and episode screens prioritizes the most important action icons at the top.
Larger font. Larger text and more space on screens will help users more easily navigate content that is important to them and make the apps feel that much more modern.
Smarter Live Space. Larger live space around buttons on mobile helps avoid the ‘fat-finger’ mis-tap effect.
Hot Search. When searching for an episode in the mobile app, search results will start appearing as you are typing. By seeing results in real time, users can find content quicker and refine search criteria on the fly to find exactly what they need.
Default Show Category. We’re reprising this one for companies who may have missed it. You can now control the category of shows audience users get when they open the desktop app. If you’d like to tailor this first impression for your audience, please contact support@ustudio.com.
