Infrastructure Upgrades.Application infrastructure updates are rolling out in August. While these changes aren’t visible to your audience users, these infrastructure upgrades allow us to increase the pace of feature development and ensure you continue to experience the application stability you are accustomed to.
Visual Links.A link to content is only valuable when it’s actually clicked! We will be making our links more enticing to click by having them automatically “unfurl” to offer visual previews of the content being shared. Links will soon include relevant information about the content such as artwork, titles, and description snippets, making them more promotional and useful for recipients to understand what you’re sharing at a glance.
Better in-app search.Discovering content in your mobile and desktop streaming apps will be enhanced by returning matches from not just the episode titles. Our first improvement is indexing episode description metadata.
Microsoft Search. We are releasing Version 2 of our Microsoft and Sharepoint search feature which ensures that users can find podcasts even when they aren’t in the podcast application. Reply to this email to start the configuration process for your organization.
What's New
Content engagement graphs. One of the most powerful media analytics that will help you drive decisions is how long your audience engages with a piece of audio or video. This data is provided for each episode in your content management console. We’ve made this data visualization better by replacing bars with lines so that you can more easily understand how your content performs against your audiences’ attention.
Sender address update.Sometimes little things make a big difference. We updated the sender name of our system-generated (noreply) emails, such as the weekly digest, to indicate they are being sent from uStudio. The new sender name will inform your audience at a glance that the email contains information about new content ready for streaming.
Management Console updates. When you enter the Administration section of your management console, you’ll now land on the Dashboard page. We’ve also updated the Shows table to sort by shows with the most recently published episodes to ensure you are seeing the freshest data first. It’s a little thing but hopefully helps you get to where you’re going faster.
Registered user status. In the User list in your administration tab, you’ll notice there is a new “Registered” user status. This status is applicable when your account uses single sign-on (SSO) and/or SCIM for authentication and captures users who have been synced with your organization’s identity provider (IdP), but have yet to log in to uStudio. While these users were never tallied in the Activated user count on the Dashboard, they were included in the export list of Activated users. Now they have their own designation and list. This update enables you to easily identify and run a specialized campaign to drive your audience to experience uStudio for the first time.
Easy Embeds.Player embeds are now available via your admin console. With just a few clicks, you can broadly and securely offer audio articles or podcasts to be streamed inside of third-party applications, increasing the ROI on your content and making sure your teams discover streaming options across the enterprise applications they use everyday.
