At uStudio, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and security across our infrastructure. Part of our media transcription processing service uses Google’s Speech-to-Text API. Below are the relevant policies around how customer audio data is processed when using this service:
- Content Use: Only audio content is processed for the sole purpose of generating a transcript for the Customer’s audiences. None of the audio content is shared outside of the uStudio-Google Cloud infrastructure. Most importantly, none of the audio content is logged or used to train Google or uStudio’s large language models (LLMs) or any other system for any other purpose.
- Data Storage: Google processes audio data in memory and does not retain or store uStudio customer audio.
- Processing Location: All audio and transcription data are processed within the US or EU, ensuring compliance with regional data protection requirements.
- Ownership of Content: In line with uStudio’s license terms of use and contractual attestations, uStudio nor Google claim ownership of the content (including the audio data and returned transcript) being transcribed. Your content remains your intellectual property.
