For a video's best playback experience in the Twitter stream (whether desktop or mobile) deploy your videos in Twitter Player Cards.
A Twitter Player Card is a pre-formatted view of a video player - one that Twitter knows how to interpret and display on both its website and mobile app interfaces. Deploying your video within a player card means that Twitter users get a smooth playback experience without leaving their social media network of choice.
uStudio's HTML5 and playlist players already contain the specific HTML meta tags necessary to serve as Twitter Player Cards. Thus, videos published to such destinations within the uStudio platform are ready to be deployed as Twitter Player Cards in 3 easy steps:
1. Grab the embed code of a video that you've published to an HTML5 or playlist player.
2. Paste that embed code onto the webpage that you'd want people sharing if/when they do spread the word about your video
3. Now tweet a link to your webpage, and the Twitter Player Card actually becomes the first impression of your webpage...and any custom player themes or modules you've applied will control the video playback experience.
Please note: Twitter has a process called whitelisting that serves as a gate to displaying Card content. While uStudio is whitelisted, you really don't want to simply tweet a link to "embed.ustudio.com" - as people just learning about your brand may not end up on your website that way. Instead, it's best practice to ensure that your own domain is whitelisted with Twitter, and to always tweet links to pages on your own domain. Just be sure the page you tweet has a Player Card on it, and you'll be using video to help Twitter audiences engage with your message.
