Add a query parameter to have a video play on a loop.
Videos published to an HTML5 Player can be looped for continuous playback simply by appending "?loop=true" to the player URL in the embed code.
This will loop the first video indefinitely - playlist players will not progress to the next video.
Once the video begins playback, one Video View is logged in the video statistics regardless of how many times the video loops. Refreshing the player and initiating playback again will record another Video View. For more information about uStudio statistics, click here.
Video Engagements are recorded each time the video loops through a certain percentage threshold. These events are recorded at 10% intervals, and those statistics can be retrieved through the API (see the Statistics API doc for more details). The uStudio app displays these statistics in integer counts for events logged at 20% intervals. A corresponding graph displays the ratio of these integer counts to the total number of video views, as recorded at 10% intervals.
Note: It may be possible for this engagement ratio to be greater than 100%, because seeking allows a viewer to engage with a video at any percentage threshold as many times as they wish.
Autoplay can be added to a looping video by adding "&autoplay=true&mute=true", so the entire embed code looks like:
https://embed.ustudio.com/embed/[Destination UID]/[Video UID]?loop=true&autoplay=true&mute=true
Note: Order does not matter, and "autoplay" and "loop" can be switched.
