In order to share or publish an asset that has been added to an HTML5 player destination, you’ll need access to an embed code. There are two ways to grab an embed code for an asset that has been added to an HTML5 destination.
- The first way is to go to the Media tab, and find the asset you are trying to get the embed code for, and then select “Manage Players” at the top. Next, select “Edit” for the HTML5 player, and then select the embed code tab on the top right. Here you can find the embed code, you can copy it by selecting the copy button at the bottom right of the code, and then customize the embed code below that. We recommend against using the available Autoplay toggle (more in a moment). You can add social media icons by selecting it under Options, only after you’ve edited the player to show the social media icons. Also, down at the bottom here you can select what size you want the video to play in. There is a small, medium, and large option, with the pixel size listed underneath. If you’d like a custom size, select “Show advanced size options” and then drag the sliders to what you need. Once everything is set as you need it, copy the embed code. From there, it can be emailed, posted on social media or embedded within your website.
- The other way to get the embed code is within the Destinations tab. Select the HTML5 player, then select “Get Embed Code” on the video you need. Within this drop-down window, you can change the size. If you require a 16:9 aspect ratio for High Definition, simply change the number values within the code; for example we can put 1920 for the width and 1080 for the height.
If you want your video to autoplay, it can be done by selecting autoplay, and then manually adding &mute=true after the autoplay=true in the code. In other words, if you want a video to Autoplay, it needs to have this at the end of the embed code: autoplay=true&muted=true
This allows the video to be played in all browsers. This needs to be done manually due to recent updates to Chrome and other common browsers.
You can only manually enter information into the code by selecting "Get Embed Code" through the Destinations tab. If you select "Manage Players" from the Media tab, the embed code cannot be manually customized.
