The User Administration tab in the uStudio Management Console provides visibility into your user base. This article will focus exclusively on user management via single sign-on (SSO).
With SSO configured, user access to uStudio happens directly through your identity provider. Adding our SCIM layer enables real-time user provisioning, ensuring that user accounts and groups are automatically added, updated, or deactivated as changes occur in your identity provider. SCIM also eliminates the need for manual user updates, keeping your user list accurate and enhancing security. Additionally, you'll be able to see all employees who are registered with access to uStudio.

User Counts
There are three SSO-related summary metrics at the top of the User Administration tab:
Registered Users: When SCIM is used for real-time user provisioning, this number represents the total number of users who have been synced with your identity provider but have not yet activated their account by logging in.
Activated Users: Total number of users who have logged in at least once and have not been deactivated. Note, without SCIM or a process in place to deactivate users, this count may be inflated.
Deactivated Users: Total number of users whose access to uStudio has been revoked. When SCIM is used for real-time user provisioning, your identity provider will push updates to uStudio when an audience member no longer has access to the application and their uStudio account will automatically be deactivated.
Note: For non-SSO Accounts there is also an Invited Users number for manually-created users who have been offered access to uStudio but have not activated their account. SSO Accounts can ignore this.
User Administration
Per the above definitions, all SSO Users are listed in tabular format with a current status designation: Registered, Activated, or Deactivated. From the table, you can perform the following tasks:
- Locate a specific user by searching the name.
- Manually deactivate a user by clicking on the user and toggling to the appropriate status. When SCIM is used for real-time provisioning, the identity provider may overwrite changes made in the uStudio console.
- Export a .csv file of the entire user list, including statuses
