AI-powered design tools can help you quickly create professional, on-brand artwork for your shows and episodes. Here are best practices for generating and preparing artwork using AI.
1. Choose Your AI Design Tool
Popular options include Adobe Firefly, Canva’s AI tools, DALL·E 3, and Midjourney. Select a platform that:
- Produces high-resolution images
- Allows custom aspect ratios (e.g., square 1:1 for uStudio artwork)
- Supports prompt-based generation for consistent style
2. Start with a Clear, Brand-Aligned Prompt
To ensure consistency and brand alignment, include in your AI prompt:
- Subject matter or theme of the show/episode
- Style (e.g., minimal, photo-realistic, illustrated, bold typography*)
- Brand-specific colors, fonts, and visual motifs from prior artwork
- Tone or mood (e.g., professional, inspiring, dynamic)
Prompt Example:
“Modern flat illustration of a confident sales professional presenting data to a small team, clean corporate setting with glass walls, soft gradient background in navy and teal (brand colors), bold sans-serif title text overlay, matching the style of previous ‘Sales Edge’ podcast covers.”

Tip: Keep a few “base” prompts on file for each show so all new episode artwork is visually consistent.
⚠️ *Important: Text Limitations
AI image generation tools often produce poor-quality or distorted text (misspellings, incorrect characters, warped shapes). To work around this reality, you can generate the main image with AI, then add titles or episode numbers separately in a design tool such as Canva, Figma, Photoshop, or Illustrator.

3. Export in the Correct Format
See uStudio sizing guidelines.
4. Review and Finalize
- Ensure text (if present) is legible at smaller sizes
- Avoid busy backgrounds that distract from titles
- Confirm image is free of watermarks or AI tool branding
5. Upload to uStudio
Once artwork is finalized, upload it during the show or episode creation process in the uStudio Admin interface.
