Recently Played makes it easier than ever to continue listening, revisit valuable episodes, and share content you’ve recently engaged with.
This dynamic section appears in My Library and automatically collects episodes you’ve started or finished — personalized to your own listening history.
What Is Recently Played?
Recently Played is a dynamic playlist that keeps track of episodes you’ve recently listened to across mobile, desktop, and authenticated embeds. It’s designed to:
Pick up where you left off. Seamlessly continue listening to an episode you started earlier or on a different device.
Revisit valuable content. Quickly return to episodes that offered important insights or helpful information. When paired with Read Along, it’s easy to scan transcripts and jump straight to an important section you want to review.
Locate and share episodes. Easily find a recently played episode to share with a colleague.
Enjoy cross-platform continuity. Your Recently Played list collects your play history across devices (mobile, desktop, and show embeds) to make it easy to reference back regardless of where you played.
How It Works
Episodes appear in Recently Played as soon as playback starts.
The list is ordered by last play time, with the most recently played episode at the top.
Each episode appears only once — the most recent play is always shown.
Episodes that are no longer available (unpublished or access removed) will automatically disappear from the list.
A pull-to-refresh action keeps the list up to date.
Where to Find It
