v1.35 Release Notes and Known Issues - 07/27/2021

Purpose

As uStudio Enterprise Podcast is released to customers and prospects, each release is accompanied by Release Notes that describe new features, bug fixes, and a list of known issues. These issues are known to uStudio and are being addressed in upcoming versions of uStudio Enterprise Podcast.

Podcast v1.35 Release Notes

To facilitate a more effective and efficient way to reach your employees, clients, customers and partners, uStudio presents its Enterprise Podcast. From important security features and UI and UX improvement to a better internal content sharing experience, the release notes detailed below offer a condensed description of enhancements, modifications and new features. Use these notes to prepare for success across your organization.

New Features

This version includes the following new features:

1. Email Notifications and Notification Preferences Page
   To improve end-user engagement, Email Notifications will now be sent to all users that Follow a show any time a new Episode is published. The email notification contains an Episode thumbnail, a brief description of the episode, and a button to play the content now. Email notifications can be enabled/disabled by the end user in a new Notification Preferences page, accessed by clicking Settings in the top-right corner of the screen, or by clicking the Unsubscribe link provided in the email.
   
   
2. Shows is now the default landing page
   In an effort to increase discoverability of content, and make more apparent all content available to an end user, the default landing page for all users will now be the Shows page.
   
   
3. Reorganize My Podcasts and Unplayed tabs into “My Library”
   In preparation for the upcoming Playlist feature, My Podcasts and the Unplayed list have been reorganized under a new My Library tab.
   
   
4. Added Link to uStudio Universit
   uStudio University is now accessible directly from the PMC by clicking the University icon at the top right of the screen.

Issues Addressed

This version addresses the following issues from prior versions:

1. Skip “Sign-In” unless actually required
2. Back button color inconsistencies
3. Error message when accessing app in offline mode
4. Player Error when exiting Settings screen
5. Episodes tab not displaying Unplayed badge correctly

Known Issues

1. Unplayed List badge numbering will not display 3 or more characters
2. Invalid Email Address will prevent Email Notifications from being sent
3. Push/Email Notifications might not be sent if content has no poster image
4. Errors navigating from Offline to Online modes
5. Named User Service - conflicting common identifiers logging users out
