Web App Update Release Notes and Known Issues - 12/21/2021

Purpose

As uStudio Enterprise Podcast is released to customers and prospects, each release is accompanied by Release Notes that describe new features, bug fixes, and a list of known issues. These issues are known to uStudio and are being addressed in upcoming versions of uStudio Enterprise Podcast web and mobile apps (iOS and Android).

Podcast Web App Release Notes

uStudio Enterprise Podcast facilitates a more effective and efficient way to reach your employees, clients, customers and partners. From important security features and UI and UX improvement to a better internal content sharing experience, the release notes detailed below offer a condensed description of enhancements, modifications and new features. Use these notes to prepare for success across your organization.

New Features

This version includes the following new features:

1. My Library Web UI Update

We’re bringing the best of our Mobile App’s look and feel to the uStudio Desktop Web experience. In addition to bringing consistency across the uStudio application experiences, we’ve also taken the opportunity to improve browsability by redesigning the way you navigate your organization’s content.

1. Left Navigation Menu has been redesigned
   
   
   
   
   1. We’ve updated the way you navigate content with uStudio on the web.
      
      
   2. Menu items now match the naming and styling conventions used in the Mobile app with Browse (for all content), My Library (for followed Shows and upcoming Playlist feature), and News.
      
      
      
2. Default landing page is now Browse
   
   
   
   
   1. Similar to the mobile app – when you log in to the uStudio web application, you’ll land on the Browse tab by default.
      
      
   2. From this tab, you can view all of the Shows published to your organization’s Studio (that have been made available to your user group).
      
      
   3. Click on a Show to see its Episodes and start playback.
      
      
      
3. My Library has replaced My Podcasts
   
   
   
   
   1. Similar to the mobile app – when you click on My Library in the uStudio web application, you’ll land on the Shows tab by default.
      
      
   2. All of your followed shows will appear in the Shows tab.
      
      
   3. Click on a Show to see its Episodes and start playback.
      
      
   4. Playlists are coming soon! Talk to your administrator about how to start using this feature.
      
      
      
4. News show iconography has been updated
   
   
   
   
   1. Same News show, great new icon.
      
      
   2. Your News show is still accessed via the left navigation menu
      
      

Issues Addressed

1. This release did not address any specific bugs from prior versions.

 

Podcast Web App Known Issues

1. Playlist feature is still forthcoming for the web application. If a studio would like to enable this feature for the mobile app in the meantime, their administrator can contact uStudio support.
