What to Expect on iPad
The uStudio app on iPad mirrors the mobile app experience feature-for-feature. Users log in using the same experience they use on other uStudio apps and will see the same content, navigation, and controls they’re already familiar with.
From there, users can:
- Login with the same experience as mobile/desktop
- Browse shows and episodes
- Play audio and video content
- View episode details and descriptions
- Save, download, and resume content
- Search across available content
- Access Featured episodes
- Share episodes and manage playback
- Adjust notification and content preferences
All interactions behave the same way they do on iPhone.
A “Floating Profile” Across Devices
Playback progress, saved content, and listening history are automatically synced across devices. Whether a user starts an episode on their phone, continues on iPad, switches to desktop, or uses an embedded player, their experience follows them.
You can think of this as a floating user profile—your place in the app moves with you, regardless of where you’re listening or watching.
How to Download on iPad
The uStudio app can be installed on iPad using a direct App Store link or by scanning a QR code provided by your organization.
Link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ustudio-enterprise-podcast/id1367504991
To install using a link or QR code:
- Click the App Store link or scan the QR code using the iPad camera.
- You’ll be taken directly to the uStudio app listing in the Apple App Store.
- Tap Download or Get to install the app.
- Once installed, open the app and sign in using the same login experience you use on other uStudio apps.
If you already have an App Store link for uStudio, that same link works on both iPhone and iPad. When opened on an iPad, the App Store automatically installs the iPad-compatible version of the app.
Note: The uStudio app can also be found by searching the App Store directly, if needed. For white-labeled apps, the app will not appear in Apple App Store search results and can only be accessed via the direct App Store link or QR code provided by your organization.
Supported Use Cases
The uStudio iPad experience is well suited for organizations that deploy tablets to their mobile workforce or shared environments. Common use cases include:
- Field and mobile teams, such as pharmaceutical reps, sales teams, or trainers, using iPads to demo content, support conversations, or guide in-person interactions
- Service and support teams using iPads while diagnosing issues, troubleshooting products, or referencing training and enablement content on-site
- Customer-facing roles that rely on video, audio, or reference materials during meetings or walkthroughs
- Desk or tablet-based listening and viewing for users who prefer a larger screen than a phone
- Shared or kiosk-style devices used in training rooms, break rooms, or controlled environments
The larger screen and full feature set make iPad a flexible option wherever teams need mobile access to content without sacrificing functionality.
Device Management (MDM) Support
For organizations that manage iPads centrally, the uStudio app can be deployed using Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions such as Microsoft Intune or similar tools.
This allows IT teams to:
- Make the uStudio app available for download on company-managed iPads
- Automatically install the app on devices before they’re issued to users
- Control availability and updates through existing device management policies
This is especially helpful for field teams, service teams, or other mobile workforces using company-owned iPads.
Additional Notes
- Orientation: While full-screen video playback is supported in landscape, the app itself functions in portrait mode only. Navigation and browsing are designed for portrait use.
- Aspect Ratio: In some cases, you may see a black frame around the app experience. This is expected behavior and ensures the app maintains its intended aspect ratio without stretching or cropping content.
- Feature parity: The iPad experience uses the same app and feature set as mobile, so any updates or improvements released to the mobile app are reflected on iPad as well.
- Input methods: The app is optimized for touch interactions. External keyboards or pointer devices may work at the OS level, but the experience is designed primarily for touch.
Summary
The uStudio app on iPad offers the same login experience, same features, and the same synced playback as other uStudio apps. If you already use uStudio on mobile or desktop, there’s nothing new to learn—your content and progress are always right where you left them.
