By now you should have noticed big enhancements to the look and feel of your mobile and desktop applications. Our March update was crafted to provide a delightful and intuitive user experience that promotes your content and continued streaming. We love it and hope you do too!
While our latest user experience updates are our most visible work, we have also been working ‘under the hood’ on several important initiatives. Here’s a full recap:
-
Immersive Color Experience. Show and episode screens are using the new immersive color theme, which includes an intelligently selected colored background derived from your artwork. The color and artwork together offer a delightfully curated visual browse and stream experience.
-
Smarter Content Layout. We’ve given your audience a fresh layout on show and episode screens, featuring larger buttons to promote the most important actions a user can take, such as playing an episode, adding it to a playlist, and sharing with others on their team. Scrolling content underneath artwork invites you to give your audience more information, longer episode descriptions, and beneficial related materials, links, or even a full transcript. Don’t miss a chance to enrich your content with more information!

uStudio Meets AI = AutoCast. Deliver 500% more meaning from your written content by utilizing AutoCast, our text-to-speech episode generator. It’s as simple as submitting your written content to uStudio and within a few moments, having a high fidelity episode available in your Podcast Management Console (PMC) for publishing to any show.
AutoCast is currently in early release. If you would like to try this feature, please contact product@ustudio.com or reply to this email to get started.
Here’s what’s on tap for April:
-
Dashboard UX. We are working to make our data Tables in your Dashboard more intuitive. Over the course of the next several weeks, you may notice new columns or updated labels. In spite of the visual changes, all data remains available in the csv exports.
-
Easy Embeds. Last month, we concluded our R&D phase of Easy Embeds and will begin work on our Administrative UIs. It’s a heavy, but worthy lift, as this initiative will give all Admins a turnkey button to grab embeds for episodes in any show that’s enabled to use them. Over time, this makes integrations like Sharepoint and your LMS a simple step, vastly increasing discovery of your streaming content across the enterprise applications your users spend time with everyday.
If you have ideas or want to explore how this could work for you, feel free to reach out to product@ustudio.com or reply to this email to start a discussion.
-
uStudio University. uStudio is moving our University curriculum to our very own podcast application! You’ll be able to download the mobile app right from the Apple or Google Play stores and start exploring a rich set of audio and video programs designed to help you do your job of creating, managing, distributing, and promoting your content. You’ll also have access to an audio version of this very newsletter and access to our popular webinars.
-
