Featuring content is one of the most powerful promotional tools in uStudio. When you Feature an episode, you give it an additional promotional boost by notifying your entire audience and placing it prominently throughout the app.
Featuring episodes gives administrators editorial control, helping ensure the highest-priority content is presented clearly and consistently.
You might Feature episodes such as:
- Quarterly priorities
- CEO messages
- Critical training
- New product launches
- Evergreen content reintroduced at the right moment

Why Feature Content?
Prominent Placement on Browse
Featured episodes appear at the top of Browse, making them the first thing users see when they open the app. This placement ensures your most important content leads the experience.
Dedicated Featured Tab
The Featured tab on mobile and web provides a filtered view of all Featured episodes, creating a centralized destination for your most important content.
Email Notifications
When you Feature an episode, all activated users in your organization receive an email notification, regardless of whether they follow the originating show. This helps ensure broad visibility across your audience.
Users can opt out of these emails and other new episode notifications in their personal settings.
Mobile Push Notifications
Activated users with the mobile app installed will also receive a push notification when an episode is Featured.

Using Featured as an Admin
How to Feature an Episode
Use your standard publishing workflow to publish an episode to the Featured show. You can either:
- Navigate to the Featured show and select the episode to publish, or
- Navigate to the episode and select the Featured show as an additional publishing destination.
Featured works best as an added layer of promotion. Episodes can be published to multiple shows at the same time.

How to Organize Featured
Within the Featured show, use the drag handles on the left side of each episode row to reorder content. The order updates automatically on Browse and in the Featured tab.
Reordering episodes does not trigger new notifications.
How to Remove a Featured Episode
To remove an episode from Featured, navigate to the Featured show and click Unpublish on the episode.
This action removes the episode from Featured only. It will remain published in any other shows where it appears.
