| WHAT’S NEW FOR YOUR AUDIENCE |
Speedier Player Load Time
We’ve continued to improve media playback by reducing the delay between pressing play and content starting. This month we focused on core framework upgrades that optimize load times across mobile and desktop as well as embedded players.

Coming Soon - Refreshed Desktop Player
Your audience will begin to see improvements to the desktop player. Updates include a more intuitive layout, clearer iconography, and larger controls for the play button and scrub bar, all of which contribute to a smoother, more accessible user experience.
Coming Soon – Lockscreen Video Playback
We’re optimizing video playback through the mobile app to deliver a consistently seamless experience by allowing video to continue playing even when the screen is locked or the app is running in the background. These updates will make it easier than ever for users to stay engaged with video content without needing to interact with their device.

ICYMI - Read Along is ‘Always On’ for New Content
Your episodes are now automatically transcribed upon upload, which means the Read Along feature is automatically available for all new content on both mobile and desktop. Want to enable Read Along for your older content? You can do it with just a click in Hub.
Link Tracking Data
You can now see how your audience is finding your content with easier access to Link Tracking data. We have added link click data to your dashboard event export as well as the Analytics API, giving you visibility into content discovery and helping you optimize your promotional efforts.

In-App Best practices for Upload
We’ve added important tips for content uploading directly inside the Upload window in the uStudio Management Console. As Admin teams grow and change over time, this handy information helps maintain workflow continuity and reduce error rates in uploading content.
Group Management Efficiency
We have made audience user status visible when creating and managing Groups in the uStudio Management Console. This data makes it easier to identify the correct audience member(s) when assigning users to a group, particularly when users have duplicate names or when new users are added to the application during onboarding scenarios.
ICYMI - Quietly Update Published Content
We have upgraded uStudio’s asset replacement feature to remove notification triggers. Now, you can swap out audio or video files without the system sending an email or mobile notification alerting your audience about new content. This gives you the freedom to quietly correct, edit, or update content without disrupting the audience user experience.

| WHAT'S NEW IN THE PLATFORM |
Coming Soon – Admin SSO Migration
Starting in May, we are requiring all enterprise Admin accounts to use SSO. This will align uStudio administration with your enterprise’s security policies, simplify the login process, and eliminate the need for admins to manage a separate password. If your Admin team already uses SSO, you’re in great shape and there’s nothing for you to do. For those who are using a separate uStudio admin username and password, please keep a watch for an email with instructions for moving to SSO for your admin users.

Coming Soon – Next-Gen Embedded Players
Since introducing this concept last Fall, we have made progress across several core elements of our embeddable media players. As we continue to advance capabilities around making embeds “user aware,” we are excited about a range of features for things like embedding an entire show or series, adding feeds, and allowing users to add to their playlist or save for later. Stay tuned or feel free to inquire about our work here.

Player Framework jQuery Upgrade
Sometimes the hidden system plumbing needs a refresh so that we can build more value on top. In this case, we took the time to upgrade an outdated version of jQuery used in our player framework. Among other benefits, this change strengthens compliance with our current security standards and improves browser compatibility. Most importantly, the Player Framework work ensures a stable foundation as we begin to build our next-generation embedded streaming experiences - more to come!
