Recently Played is now available across mobile and desktop. This dynamic list in My Library is personalized to each listener’s play history, helping them quickly pick up where they left off, reference valuable content, or locate a recently played episode to share.
Saved (formerly called Playlist)
Playlist has been rebranded as Saved, with updated naming and an icon that more clearly reflects its purpose. Saved provides a persistent list in My Library for episodes listeners want to return to later or bookmark as essential training or reference material.
Deeper Support for Whitelabel Mobile Apps
If you have a whitelabeled mobile application, your audience can now access direct links to your private app store listings right from the desktop app. This makes downloading the mobile app faster and smoother, unlocking the ability for your audience to play content on the go. When a user clicks the “Get mobile app” button at the bottom left of the screen, they’ll see direct links to your whitelabel Apple App Store and Google Play listings.
Updated iPad Layout
The app iPad experience now opens fullscreen, giving audiences more room to browse and listen without distractions or needing to manually expand the UI.
Recently Added
Recently Added gives audiences a quick view of the latest content available to them as soon as they open the app. At the top of Browse users see a personalized set of episodes that highlights new content alongside recently published episodes they haven’t completed yet. Formerly known as Play Now, this update better reflects the section’s purpose. Coming soon, Recently Added will expand into a horizontally scrollable set of episodes, allowing audiences to browse more content at a glance.
WHAT’S NEW FOR ADMINS
Beta Available: Featured on Browse Screen
We’re beginning to surface Featured episodes prominently on Browse, increasing visibility for high-priority content on the home screen. Featured episode cards will appear near the top of the Browse landing page, giving you greater control over what’s promoted to your audience as soon as they enter the app. Featured episodes also remain available in the dedicated Featured tab. A full rollout is coming soon, but if you’d like early access, simply reply to this email to let us know.
More Promotion Tools
New tools are now available in the uStudio Management Console (UMC) to help you craft campaigns that drive awareness and adoption across your organization:
Anywhere you can copy a link in the UMC, you can now also copy a QR code to paste into your own materials.
A link to the home screen of the application for portals or resource hubs.
Direct links to download the mobile app from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Push the iPad App through MS Intune
IT and device‑management teams can now deploy the uStudio app to company‑managed iPads through Microsoft Intune. This completes full mobile‑device deployment support across iOS and Android, making large‑scale rollout simpler, more secure, and more consistent across your organization.
WHAT'S NEW FOR THE PLATFORM
SSO Configuration Upgrade
We’ve started rolling out a behind-the-scenes SSO configuration upgrade across all accounts to reduce login errors caused by third-party browsers dropping cookies during the login process. This industry-standard update will be deployed automatically, with no downtime and no action required from your team. If you’d like to learn more about what’s changing, please contact support@ustudio.com.
TIPS & TRICKS
Take a moment to identify the content your teams return to most often. Those high-value episodes are great candidates to promote through the Featured section of the app, which will soon have even more prominent placement on Browse, and to share more broadly using QR codes, now available on all links.
